India - potential international market

Italian shoe leather leather machinery association representing 47 enterprises participated in the 1-3th, the 29th international leather fair in India. The leather fair is organized by India trade promotion organization, Italian main leather brands took part in the exhibition. According to the association, 70% of the Italian production of footwear, leather goods and leather machines are exported to more than 100 countries.

In addition, there are 92 foreign exhibitors in the exhibition on display to show their new products, they respectively from Bangladesh, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Turkey, united Arab emirates (uae), such as the UK. In addition, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Italy and Thailand also established national pavilion at the fair.

Due to the number of exhibitors are more than expected, the organizer had to put up temporary exhibition hall to meet the needs of more exhibitors. India is the world's second largest producer of shoes and leather clothing, at present, India accounts for only 3.05% of the global leather import trade, the global leather import trade volume in 2015 for $2011.

So, India is a big potential market, China's leather machinery enterprises should find an opportunity to develop the Indian market, research and develop new machines, as India market the breakthrough point, win in the international market.
